There’s a movement gaining momentum everyday and it’s global! It’s about mentoring, inspiring, and empowering one another to realize we can all make a positive difference; simply by passing on kind acts and good deeds.

We, The World is conducting a Pass It Forward Video Challenge to all volunteers. Submit your video to We, The World and get global exposure! We will compare your video to ours and we if like yours better, we will highlight yours on our this website instead, as well as the We, The World site. Contact rickulfik@wetheworld.org for more information.

Every volunteer for the Pass It Forward Movement will be able to highlight their program on this website just as I did. Now you too can create your own Pass it Forward program based upon your "gift" or a specific "Pass it Forward Moment that happened in your past."

The “
The Pass it Forward Movement” embraces all creeds, religions, and political beliefs. If it doesn’t appeal to 100% of the population then it is not part of the movement.
Every entity, non-profit, business, school, organization, and individual can be part of this movement. Together, we can all unite and collaborate as just one voice to “pass it forward” and make the world a gentler, kinder place.
Please explore our website www.aunitedworld.org to learn more, and “Pass It Forward!”  If you are a school or nonprofit organization and would like more information please send your inquiry to aunitedworld@gmail.com.
All people interested in creating and organizing your own Pass It Forward program please contact arlan@wetheworld.org.

The Basic Concept:  Take a look at the 100 Ways To Pass It Forward for Teens - Pick one way (in your heart) and your volunteer mentor will help you find 99 other like minded people or organizations to do the rest.  The "A United World" website will provide all of the tools necessary to implement your idea so you can make a difference in this world!  As an example see 100 Mentoring Sources, 131 Mentoring Ideas, 366 Community Service Ideas.

Pay It Forward (by Liberty Mutual)
Doing the right thing, and watching it spread, is the theme of this commercial by Liberty Mutual. A man picks up a child's doll that has fallen to the sidewalk, and the child's mother passes along the kindness by moving a man's coffee cup from the edge of the table. Someone else views that act of care and later helps a fallen pedestrian find his feet. Generosity and kindness are contagious....
Children See, Children Do
Why is it that certain behaviors deemed tolerable in adults are suddenly shocking when exhibited by children? This 90-second public service announcement by a nonprofit organization in Australia begs this very question--prompting any adult who watches to reconsider their responsibility to any child, and to one another....
At a Coffee Shop in Loveland
At the drive-thru in Loveland, Colorado more and more people are pulling up to the pick-up window to find they owe nothing. That's right, nothing. They're then told the person ahead of them paid their bill. "It kind of almost took my breath away for a minute," said Lindell Green, a Loveland resident. "It was just such a wonderful surprise." Green then paid for the person behind him. It's a simple idea of pay-it-forward and it seems that an unnamed revolution is building around it! This video from CNN shares more....
A Taste of Generosity
Imagine a restaurant where there are no prices on the menu and the check totals $0.00, accompanied by a simple note: "Your meal was a gift from someone who came before you. We hope you'll pay-it-forward however you wish." Here's a taste of Karma Kitchen generosity, as captured by an 18 year-old with a video camera for UC Berkeley's student-run newspaper....
24 Hours of Kindness
A young man in a baseball cap, named Mike, spends 24 hours committing random acts of kindness. Whether handing out flowers or balloons on the street, helping serving food in a kitchen, entertaining children in a classroom or helping strangers load a truck, Mike shows how simple and powerful it can be just to serve others without plans or agendas. ...
Seva Cafe: Love All, Serve All
Seva Cafe in Ahmedabad, India is redefining the idea of a fine dining experience. Operated on the principle of a "gift economy," this restaurant serves food at no charge. Diners enjoy meals that have been paid for by those who came before them. And what patrons contribute is a matter entirely up to them. "You pay from your heart," explains one of the many volunteers who cook, clean and serve at the restaurant. "The idea is to promote the idea of giving."...
The Kindness Crew
Four young men from Victoria, Canada have made ripples in that city by committing acts of spontaneous kindness. Dubbed the Kindness Crew, these guys hand out flowers, give free massages and help renovate community day care facilities. "Do something positive" is their mantra ....
Pay It Forward
In this movie clip, a 7th grade student showcases the power of doing something nice for someone and asking them to "pay it forward". A broader indigenous idea is often referred to as the "gift economy" where goods and services are given freely, without asking for anything in return. Instead of "savings", it is the circulation of the unconditional offerings within the community that leads to increase -- increase in connections, increase in relationship strength....
Instant Grants in the Park
A group of calling itself the Federation of Students and Nominally Employed or Unemployed Artists spent four hours giving away "instant grants" in a park in New York City. Photographers, knitters for the homeless and artists of all types lined up for small grants. The funds were raised or donated by the federation and the exercise went deeper than just dollars for some. As one recipient noted: "It's not the money here. Something else is going on." ...
Pay it Forward at the Pump!
A church-based youth group in Michigan decided to commit anonymous acts of kindness, and learned a lot about themselves in the process. Using $100 from a church fund, they went to pizza parlors, gas stations and other local retail establishments, where they would give small sums of money to the cashiers, asking that the money be applied to the next person's purchase. The generosity was often greeted by stunned silence by many of the recipients. What was even more surprising to some of the youth was the impact this unconditional giving had on them individually. ...
The Gift-Economy House of Kelowna
"Once in a while you are given an incredible opportunity to really make a difference in one family's life," said a group of volunteers in a small Canadian town of Kelowna. Just like a popular reality TV show, their idea was to demolish and then rebuild a new house -- yes, a whole new house! -- for an amazing family of nine in their community. There was only one caveat: it was 100% community funded! That's right. 45 contractors, hundreds of volunteers, and a whole lot of love. Watch the news clip about the demolition and the follow-up video of what happened on Dec 11, when the family actually moved in!...
Magic of Free Parking
Composer turned filmmaker Kurt Kuenne calls it "a fable about the magic of free parking." A short film about one parking attendant named Hugh Newman is really the story of small acts of goodness and everyday smiles that is sure to bring every viewer into spirit of holiday cheer....

Hug it Forward

Anonymous Acts of Kindness
For 31 days, two women in Grand Rapids, Michigan decided to "pay it forward" and do anonymous acts of kindness to random strangers all over town. From leaving inspirational cards at the unemployment agency, to paying for a person's meal behind them at the drive-thru, these inspirational women touched the lives of many in the spirit of generosity and kindness. ...
You Don't Ask, You Just Give
In many parts of the world, people are searching for alternatives to the cash economy. In Mali, one of the most cash poor nations in the world, "Dama" or the "Gift Economy" has been thriving for thousands of years. This system of exchange is not based on exchange or equivalence between the giver and the receiver, rather the receiver passes the gift on to someone else. The gift economy celebrates the value of life, putting human relationship over profit. ...
Kindness in Schools
When is the best time to start being kind to others? These Maine elementary school children say NOW! They're part of a growing movement of young people who are shifting the way they view the world. Listen to them in their own words......
Giving Anonymously
Anyone who enjoys putting cash under a friends door or in their mailbox will often times not know if their friend actually got the gift and they cannot hear what it meant to them. So, Lionel Thompson came up with an idea to have a messaging line where recipients could call after receiving their gift. Take a look!...
Auto Drivers Feed 500 People
30 Auto drivers in Chennai, India kick off "The Joy of Giving Week" by providing free meals to around 500 people, all of it off their own personal contribution. For individuals who make barely enough to survive themselves, it's quite an act of service!...
