Example of "Sponsor Mentorship" for youth:

1) Akim is a 6th grader and had the desire to mentor a 5th grader in an area that Akim knew he could be of benefit to a younger student.  This one area happened to be soccer.  In order for Akim to create "Akim's Mentoring Program", Akim went door to door to raise $50.00 from the neighbors.  Of the $50.00 Akim sent to WTW, he received 90% back in the form of a grant for $45.00.  Now, Akim had to set up a separate bank account because this $45.00 was to be used as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit program.  Akim is only allowed to keep 10% of the $45.00 for himself ($4.50), and now must spend the balance of $40.50 to the cause.  The $40.50 went towards buying a soccer ball, a journal, book on soccer, accomplishment ribbons and certificates, and anything else that he needed to help.  He even had money leftover for a pizza party to celebrate the 5th grader's accomplishments.
